5 Ways to Improve your Energy Levels

Fatigue can be a common problem, however it doesn’t have to be one that we just put up with. As with many problems, there are also many solutions.

Here are just 5 ways you can start to improve your energy levels.

  1. Exercise more; first and foremost would be to exercise more, even just 20 mins of light exercise a day can make a big difference and it comes highly recommended.
  2. Eat healthy meals at regular intervals, eating healthily we all know is important to do, yet to eat at regular intervals, so that your body knows when food is coming can make an even bigger difference. Try to stick to the same meal times each day and to not skip meals. Even if you are doing intermittent fasting you can try applying this rule of having set times.
  3. Drink plenty of water, all drinks other than alcohol and caffienated drinks can help us to stay hydrated. However if you can it drink plenty of water daily, you will find this to be much better as it rules out any sugar intake, which can send your energy levels up and down. Pure water is always best.
  4. Spend time in nature, being in nature brings us back to our natural healthy balanced state, reducing any stress or anxiety and helping us to reset. Always give this a try when you can, for a natural energy boost.
  5. Chi Gung – a great and more unique way to improve energy levels is with Chi Gung, which literally means energy work. Using gentle movements it helps our natural energy to circulate and improves circulation and joint pain as well as many more health benefits.

Exercise as Medicine

Often underrated exercise as medicine can be a powerful solution as well as deterrent to many common health problems, both in mind and body.

A regular exercise routibe can help to boost your mood, your confidence and your immune system, all of which can help prevent problems occuring or deteriorating within the mind and body.

This alone is reason to exercise and also a powerful motivator, rather than our external appearance. More important and a primary reason to exercise regularly is the health of your mind and body.

Therefore everytime you feel unsure of whether to exercise or not remind yourself of this powerful and important reason and you can guarantee you will always feel better for doing it.

Regular exercise doesn’t need to be excessive either, gentle exercise such as walking and light yoga/stretch sessions can be really helpful also.

For more advice and support with how you can get started and keep going with an exercise plan, please get in touch via the form below.

Maintaining Balance

Seek balance in daily life

Finding balance in our lives is a constant re-adjustment. As we are always changing and life is always changing, how much we need to give or recieve in certain areas is always adjusting.

With this, our mindset has to readjust also and sometimes we may experience a lag. We may perceive that we need more than we do based on past experiences or give more than we need to for the same reason, or to strive for something that is not necessary for our lives.

In finding balance our bodies and minds are the best signal, if we are out of balance and giving too much in a certain area we will be certain to feel the symptoms, such as fatigue or stress and if left too long this can worsen.

The first step to finding or refinding our balance then is to listen to ourselves and the feedback our body is giving and then make the adjustments accordingly.

We may need to either reduce or increase certain activities to find our balance again.

Another helpful practice can be to sit down and reevaluate our goals and see what still fits with where we are now and where we want to be. As we grow and change our goals will naturally change and/or we can find a different path.

Lastly trust your inner self, your intuition above all, it will always guide you to what is right for you and the correct balance in your life.

Enjoy the search, the growth and the process,

We are all a part of nature

And nature always seeks to find balance
