Staying Inspired

We can all hit low points in training and in life, so it’s important that we stay inspired and have things that can help re-inspire us when in need.

There are several key things that can help;

  1. Having a positive peer group, surrounding yourself with positive people who lift you up and encourage you when in need is essential when needing that necessary inspiration. Even if that means joining classes or groups, find a way to meet like minded people.
  2. Setting goals, small ones are as important, as well as larger ones. The bigger goals give us something to aim for, whilst the smaller ones allow us to see our progress along the way.
  3. Change with change, when things become stagnant and uninspiring it can be time to create a change or find a new way. There are many opportunities in life, we just have to step out to find them. If we stay in same lane too long, we may just miss them. Don’t be afraid to diversify, you never know if something new will work for you unless you try.

I hope you find these few tips helpful if you have been struggling with staying inspired in your training or with life in general.

Remember there is always a way, look for it and you will find it. 🙏💛

Moment by Moment

Taking each day moment by moment not only helps you to be more present, it also helps you achieve your goals.

Every thing we achieve is done step by step.

Whether it be weight loss, body building or any other goal, and most of all the journey is where the joy is.

Going moment by moment, we also see many opportunies and find ways we may not otherwise see, by going with what is.

Moment by moment,

Enjoying life as it is

Embrace opportunities 💕

Overcoming Injuries

With intense and consistent training many of us can incur injury or two at some point.

This can happen for a variety of reasons, overtraining being one of the main causes as well as poor techniques, muscle imbalance or weakness in certain areas.

This post will look at how do we overcome them and prevention as part of this also.

There is no simple one way to overcome an injury, it often takes a multifaceted approach.

This is however an overall approach I have found most effective.

  1. Find the cause. Discovering the cause of the injury as soon as possible is the best way to help in your recovery and prevention of a future injury. For example, it may be due to over-stretching or an imbalance of muscle use, find this out through your own investigation and advice from a physio if you have one.
  2. Take a holistic approach. Focusing your mind when recovering from injury is as important and in some ways more so than the physical. Apply your mind in terms of belief in your recovery and how fast and good you want it to be. Determine to be stronger and better than before. I can attest to the fact this is more than possible and by applying both mind and body you will also improve your overall performance in training.
  3. Rebuild specifically. This is where an injury can really become an advantage, as once you apply the knowledge of what went wrong and combined mind and body focus, by training this way specifically you will enhance everything you do. As our mind and body are interconnected, specific focus on the injured area will have an accumulative effect on your overall improvement and performance, ensuring you come back far stronger and better than ever before.

If you suffer from any injuries, get the best advice possible from multiple sources and find what works for you. Along your training journey you will gain your own experience on what works best and quickest for you.

As we are all different, results always differ for different people but most of all have faith and determination you will recover and be stronger than you were before.

To your best in health and happiness,

Miranda

From form to flow

Every process in movement can be one that goes from form to flow. This is a process where we learn the movement and then become one with it and in a state of flow.

For this to take effect several elements need to be in place with the movement. The main ones of these are your form, focus and breathing.

The specific steps for this process are;

  1. Learn the most effective form of the movement.
  2. Match your breathing with the movement.
  3. Practice the movement and find your flow, applying your focus.

When you find movement that you enjoy doing, then this process can be really rewarding. Find what works for you, apply the process and most of all enjoy.

Top 3 tips for getting back in to the fitness habit

After Christmas and New year many people find it hard to get back in to their fitness habit. So what can you do to help yourself get back in to the habit of fitness, and make it one that stays throughout 2022 and longer?

Here are my 3 top tips;

  1. Set a weekly schedule and stick to it. We are creatures of habit after all. So once this schedule sticks after a month it will become a habit. Aim for a minimum of 3 days a week to see the full benefit.
  2. Have all your fitness clothes at the ready each day and make it at the forefront of your mind. Fill your cupboards with nutritious food and stick reminders around your home for added motivation. Being surrounded by visual reminders can be very powerful for reinforcing new habits.
  3. Have encouragers, whether this be friends, family, fellow training buddies or a pt. Having people around you who support and encourage your journey can be very helpful and a great boost where needed. If you currently don’t have people who support you in this way. Please drop me a msg to inquire about either Pt or local training groups that may be of help to you.

Most of all as always, enjoy your training. Enjoy the journey 🙂

Trust in your Art

To find a way of self expression is of great importance yet also of great importance is the way an art expresses itself through us. Its a delicate balance of the two.

Each art we may practice has its own unique process and journey to take us on, so allowing it to work its magic is as equally important as it is for us to express ourself through the art.

‘The Heart is in the Art’

By allowing the art to take us on its journey we not only discover its magic but discover hidden depths and strengths within ourselves that we would otherwise miss. We just have to trust in it.

By adding too much to the process or taking too much away we don’t allow the process to work. Just imagine trying to make a painting without the paint.

Therefore have your tools, be the paintbrush and simply allow the art to express itself through you. You might just discover things you never thought you could do.

Let the art be through you 🙏💗

Where there’s a will there’s a way

Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.’

~ Arthur Ashe

In fitness training, as long as we have the will to get started, we can always find a way. There is something for everyone.

It is common in the fitness world to hear excuses such as; ‘I dont have enough time’ or ‘I dont like the gym’ and many more.

However no matter what the reason and however genuine, there is always a way and method that you can find to begin improving your fitness.

It is simply a matter of experimenting, the best way to get started is to simply begin. Try out different things even for just 15 minutes a day and see where it takes you.

Nowadays there are many more options such as our online courses, classes and many of them adaptable for all.

There are indoor and outdoor training methods and if you struggle with motivation there is the option of personal training and coaching, as well as online videos to keep you going.

There is always a way to suit everyone and of any ability or taste, and once you’ve found it, all you need to do is practice regularly to improve.

Find what suits you and what you enjoy, then simply add it to your routine just 3 times a week to get started. This will make a lot of difference from which you can build up from.

This is the true magic of training, it is just the getting started and keeping a routine that is difficult in the beginning, then the momentum will take hold and keep you going to greater and greater joys to find 🙂

Ignite Within

ignite

All real faith and motivation comes from within, situations, people and experiences from the outside can take us to this point but ultimately it is ourselves that drives us to keep going towards any goal, or any important task. This poem is wrote with that purpose, we all have that place within, find it and you’ll be on fire, then nothing will stop you reaching your goal.

Feel the fire come up within you
There is nothing to hold you back
Just believe in yourself and you’ll win

Bring up the force from within you
Believe in yourself, this is true
There is nothing that can hold you back now
Nothing except for you

Feel that force from within you
All is possible from there
There is nothing , or no place stronger
Just believe in yourself and your there

All is possible from here and now,
Listen to that place from within
All you have to do is believe in yourself
There is nothing to stop you from there.

Your Health

Feel Healthy

It is your health that is your real true beauty in life

So easily given and then more easily taken, it is the real true gift

Value it with your life, for it depends on it so

There are many a people who aren’t even fortunate enough to know

Always remember the real true gift,

It is right there within you; don’t wait for it to fly by

Many a people have done so and then they realise

That their real true gift was right before their eyes

Many a true scholar have told us these words before

It is now time we listen, for its more important than before

Our world is filled with guises that hide us from this gift

The only way to truly know is from how you feel inside

So stand up for your life and be true to yourself

Don’t hide from your health it is your real gift of wealth

For once you really have it, then you will truly know

That the real gift of life

Is right there before you,

If you  only choose to let it be so
