Adaptable Yoga

Yoga like most forms of exercise can be adapted to a range of skills and abilities. It can also be adapted for babies and children too, so no age is too young or too old.

Yoga consisting of poses, can also be adapted by using chairs and resistance bands for those with limited mobility or balance.

For babies they can start with exercises such as stretching legs up or happy baby with assistance.

For Children’s Yoga it can be made more entertaining and stimulating, with animal poses and noises to keep children engaged and at the same time improve their confidence and concentration.

With so many possible adaptions and being possible for all ages right from babyhood to older age, Yoga really is for anyone and everyone.

If you would like to give Yoga a try please send a message below to book a trial class and remember, there really are no limitations. 🙂

To your healthiest and best,

Yoga Outdoors

The benefits of Yoga are numerous, however with the added benefit of being outdoors the positive results multiply even further.

With Yoga literally meaning to connect, being outdoors for practice allows us to truly tune in to nature and ourselves, allowing for a deeper calm and connection.

The sights and sound of nature can also help us to relax, therefore helping us to breath deeper and find posture easier to get in to deepen also.

It can also help to build our vitamin D supply, leading to more health &happiness. In addition it can help to improve your confidence and subsequent connection to fellow Yoga practitioners.

3 Top Reasons to Love Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a state of conciousness between waking and sleeping. When in the Yoga Nidra state, we can create powerful changes that are difficult to make in other states of conciousness, such as normal waking and sleeping.

Yoga Nidra then can be a very powerful state and one you can grow to love and want to practice regularly.

3 Top Reasons to Love Yoga Nidra;

  1. It can help you to heal trauma; being able to access the state between waking and sleeping allows for you to make helpful changes on a subconscious level and in a safe and relaxed way.
  2. It can help you to achieve your goals; accessing the subconscious mind in yoga nidra also allows for your deeper creativity and with regular practice, subsequent manifestation.
  3. It can help change any negative belief patterns; accessing the subconscious mind, can also help you to plant new positive affirmations and intentions. Replacing any old negative patterns and changing your focus to positive belief patterns.

If you would like to try Yoga Nidra and experience these benefits first hand, I’m currently offering the first session for half price.

To book your first session please fill out the form below and start manifesting your dreams 🙏🙂💛

Daily Practice

What we do daily is what really makes a difference, its the small consistent steps that add to whole well-being; spiritually, mentally and physically

The following video of the yoga practice Sun Salutation is one of my daily practices. Its also one that I recommend to many because of its significant meaning of giving gratitude for that which we can not live without, and its ability to stretch out the whole body as a great way to start the day.

Please give it a try if you feel able to 🙏

Daily Sun Salutation

Please also share your daily practices and how they help you. I would love to hear from you.

The True meaning of Yoga

Yoga has become a fashion within health clubs nowadays but what exactly is the true purpose and meaning of yoga?

‘Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.’

~ The Bhagavad Gita

The true meaning of yoga is much more than physical image or even health, yet to describe it sounds much simpler. Most profound truths are paradoxical in this way.

The true meaning of yoga is literally ‘to yoke’ or ‘to connect’. At first this is with our breath throughout the whole practice within all asanas (postures) and relaxation/meditation.

The whole practice then becomes a form of meditation where we seek to unite with the breath and ultimately to our higher self/god, through a sequence of postures.

The way yoga has become misrepresented is unfortunate yet there are also some very good teachers out there too who bring forth its true meaning.

Always do your own research too and do your best to stay connected with your highest 🙏💗
