The Power of Nature

Anytime you need, nature is there for you. It can be your greatest helper & healer.

– M. L Adams

It can calm your worries, clear your mind and even lower your blood pressure.

This is the power of nature that is here for us all.

In times of greatest need nature is the one place you can go to that will help you to heal.

However big or small your worries make the most of the nature spaces you have. Even if you live in a built up area, check out your local park.

These spaces & places of nature close by, really can be your sanctuary.

This is why we have started to offer regular forest bathing walks and nature retreats as well as yoga within the beauty of nature.

Finding time to meditate

Finding time to meditate daily is essential for our inner peace and as we become more peaceful , we can help create more peace around us too and subsequently for the world.

In todays busy lifestyle, many find it difficult to find time to meditate for any length of time. However it is often found that when we regularly meditate we become much more productive.

This is because we become more present in each moment and therefore more efficient. It can then happen that you begin completing your tasks much earlier than expected and find you have more spare time.

The best time I recommend to mediate is in the morning. This is because, if you sit to meditate first thing in the morning, then it will benefit your whole day and help your mind to be clearer and therefore more productive.

If you really struggle with the morning then the next best time would be before bed, for this time, set aside 20 minutes before you go to bed to meditate and you’ll find you sleep much deeper.

20 minutes is the optimal time to start with, however you can adapt this and build up. If you do struggle, start with 5 mins and build by 5mins a week until you get to 20 minutes.

When you are comfortable and if it feels right for you, you can then do both first thing in the morning and last thing at night for optimal results.

As with any new habit; stick to the same time each day if you can and this will help to form the habit much more easily.

Also remember your reasons why and all the benefits you will gain from taking the time to meditate daily.

Benefits such as reducing stress and anxiety, improving productivity and efficiency and many more give you lots of reasons to stick to this life changing and life improving habit. 🙏💕🙏

Creating Peace

With all that’s happening in the world, its seem a good time to focus on creating peace.

Conflict is part of nature, when we live in a dualistic world, so what can we do personally to make a difference and create peace?

As Gandhi once stated, ‘Each one has to find his peace from within.’ It cannot be found externally and we become lost in searching or trying to create it this way.

However by finding our own peace within we can then be in a far better place to help others who are suffering.

As far as I have found peace begins with acceptance, that being accepting however things are. From a place of acceptance we can then see things in a different light and rise above the duality of a situation.

We can find opportunities and ways to help others and in doing so knowing that there is always hope and to never give up in believing things can become better 🙏❤

Keep your light shining always and help bring hope to others. 🙏

How to Manage Overwhelm

Experiencing overwhelm and anxiety has become much more common, but how can we best cope with this when this comes up?

In learning how to manage overwhelm and anxiety often simple strategies work best. The following two are what I recommend most of all;

  1. Get out in to nature; whenever you feel overwhelmed or anxious just stepping out in to nature and taking a walk or just spending some peaceful time in a local park can really help you feel centred again.
  2. The power of one; break things down and focus on one thing at a time, this can really help ease the overwhelm and allow you to focus with much more clarity again. Once you have done that one thing Whether it be to go for a walk or do that first item on your to do list, you will find your momentum will return.

To Gym or not to Gym

With online and home workouts having become more popular since the Pandemic, what actually is the best way to workout, is it to Gym or not to Gym.

For sure you can have great workouts without the gym but keeping good form is essential therefore it is advisable to have a trainer and/or good guidance when you’re following an at home workout plan.

Some of the benefits of not using a gym are;

• Convenience-(saving time)

•Easily accessible

• Healthier-(especially if outdoors)

And of the gym;

• More sociable

• Can be more motivational

• More options and advice

Both ways have advantages and disadvantages and it really depends on what works best for you. The most important thing is that you do exercise and that it’s effective and constructive.

If you need any further support and advice on how you can exercise at home, please do get in touch via the form below.

Inspire by Example

“To teach is to inspire, to inspire is to teach. Aim to teach always by example.”

Through our own example we can inspire those around us, especially those younger than us in years or experience.

Therefore always remember that when you are looking after you, when you are doing all you do, it’s not just you who is looking, others are becoming inspired by you too.

All the more reason to look after your health and always do the best you can do for yourself and others.

Live morally and to the best of your ability and this will always shine through. Those younger than you will be inspired by you and some will choose to follow too.

Let this be more motivation to always do your best and follow guidelines and ethics.

Growing the love for what you do, as you inspire others too. 🙏💛🙂

3 Top Reasons to Love Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a state of conciousness between waking and sleeping. When in the Yoga Nidra state, we can create powerful changes that are difficult to make in other states of conciousness, such as normal waking and sleeping.

Yoga Nidra then can be a very powerful state and one you can grow to love and want to practice regularly.

3 Top Reasons to Love Yoga Nidra;

  1. It can help you to heal trauma; being able to access the state between waking and sleeping allows for you to make helpful changes on a subconscious level and in a safe and relaxed way.
  2. It can help you to achieve your goals; accessing the subconscious mind in yoga nidra also allows for your deeper creativity and with regular practice, subsequent manifestation.
  3. It can help change any negative belief patterns; accessing the subconscious mind, can also help you to plant new positive affirmations and intentions. Replacing any old negative patterns and changing your focus to positive belief patterns.

If you would like to try Yoga Nidra and experience these benefits first hand, I’m currently offering the first session for half price.

To book your first session please fill out the form below and start manifesting your dreams 🙏🙂💛

5 Ways to Handle Confrontation

Being confronted is a difficult circumstance in life that can be made far easier to handle with the right tools and strategies.

For some of us it may be a rarity that we would encounter a situation and may need these skills and for others perhaps due to their occupation, it may be more frequent.

Either way the following tips can be very useful to know and apply.

  • Stay Centred; being grounded and centred in yourself allows you to stay open and aware to what is happening around you, and also feel safe in yourself that you can respond in the correct way you need to.
  • Stay Calm; remaining calm can take some training, but being able to do so when being confronted and in difficult situations, can prove to be very helpful in being able to respond in a safe and correct manner.
  • Speak Softly; if another person is agitated and trying to agitate you, then the best thing you can do is remain calm and speak softly yet sometimes in a firm way where necessary.
  • Maintain your Distance; keeping a safe distance from someone who is confronting you or attempting too is also essential. In doing this you are maintaining your safety and also preventing them from being able to attack you physically.
  • Know your Exits; as a last resort you need to know the actual exits out of any place or situation, in order to be able to get out safely. However in the best case scenario this can also mean simply calming the person and situation down in order to find a reasonable solution for all involved.

I hope you may find these tips useful if or when you may ever need them. First and foremost however remember, if you can always stay safe and avoid any potential confrontational situations.

5 Ways to Lose Weight with Low Impact Exercise

A question I have been asked recently is whether it is possible to lose weight with low impact exercise. The answer is of course yes, it just requires a different strategy.

The main benefit of low impact exercise is that it is far safer on the joints and you are less likely to injure yourself or aggrevate a previous injury.

Low Impact exercise is gentle on the body and therefore much easier to approach in terms of motivation also, particularly if you have been injured or struggle with fatigue.

5 ways to lose weight with low impact exercise.

  1. Focus on larger muscle groups.
  2. Do a higher rep range.
  3. Go for a longer workout. (Particularly with cardio. Longer walks 3-4 x a week for example can be an excellent way to help you lose weight.)
  4. Exercise regularly (3-5 x a week is ideal)
  5. Do a combination of weights and cardio. (A common mistake for people who want to lose weight is to just do cardio, ensure to include weights also.)

As with any goal and way of training the right strategy is essential. Following the above advice will certainly get you ahead.

For any further support and advice for your training, please get in touch via the form below.

Stay happy and healthy 🙏😊
