A training ground for life – ‘How exercise training can help us in everyday life’

Train for Life

Developing a regular training pattern in the gym or with any sport has its challenges. The challenges we face within our training are like teachers (the kind that are cruel to be kind). They teach us discipline to build resilience,  to overcome the struggles and to grow.

Throughout my time in regular fitness training, since I was young, I have always found these lessons I have learnt and the development gained has helped me tremendously in life to overcome any challenges that life brings. Without this as a basis I think I would have found these far more difficult.

Without the discipline built in the gym I may likely not have learnt to do the same in other areas of life, it is certain that it has helped in many ways. Regular Training in whichever form you choose also builds your self-confidence and self-belief, I have seen people’s confidence transform from exercising regularly and it also happened to me. Self-confidence and self-belief are two things that without which we will struggle very much in many areas of life. Regular training is in no way a magic pill for this because there are many elements to it, but it certainly helps a lot.

The Energy and Focus you also gain from your training will also help in all other areas of life, whether you are working or studying , you will be able to think much clearer and feel much better due to the increase in energy and concentration. As a result you will be able to get far more done in a shorter space of time, who wouldn’t want this?:)

Because exercise training is initially quiet difficult and to form a regular training pattern takes discipline this builds a strength of mind, we have to learn to persist and be disciplined with our training to reach the results we want to achieve. Persistence is important in training to achieve our goals, without it we would not get there or keep going at all. This is the same with any goal in life, if we do not have persistence we will not get there. The good thing is persistence can be built and exercise training is the perfect training ground to do this.

We always start off small and build up, therefore we learn to adapt and progress  from there you get stronger and stronger. You can apply this principle to any goal and it will then develop your persistence muscle because this way you have broken your large goal down and you then build up from there. Each step has a reward and self belief gets stronger, you will keep going to get to the next step (as long as you want it enough) and so build persistence from within. From there you can then use this strength when you need to, for any goal or task that requires it. You will always keep going because in training you have to.

‘Enjoy the process, then the outcomes simply happen.’  🙏💛💫

Your Health

Feel Healthy

It is your health that is your real true beauty in life

So easily given and then more easily taken, it is the real true gift

Value it with your life, for it depends on it so

There are many a people who aren’t even fortunate enough to know

Always remember the real true gift,

It is right there within you; don’t wait for it to fly by

Many a people have done so and then they realise

That their real true gift was right before their eyes

Many a true scholar have told us these words before

It is now time we listen, for its more important than before

Our world is filled with guises that hide us from this gift

The only way to truly know is from how you feel inside

So stand up for your life and be true to yourself

Don’t hide from your health it is your real gift of wealth

For once you really have it, then you will truly know

That the real gift of life

Is right there before you,

If you  only choose to let it be so

Planning Ahead

When it comes to planning ahead with Health and Fitness goals, which is the best approach to take?

After all dont many of the best things happen without any planning at all. Yet for health and fitness, it seems to need so much planning, from diet to training plans, it can often become very regimented.

As with many things, a balance of both can be the best solution, so not to become too fixed but also to be productive.

Then with a good plan you remain on track to your fitness success, whilst staying open to all opportunities.

Most of all able to enjoy the journey 🙂

To your healthiest and best 🙏💛

Time to Enjoy :)

An important part of health and well-being is having balance, so as well as training and even resting is the importance of taking time to enjoy.

What this means for each of us is different but every now and then, or when we can its important to treat ourselves and enjoy.

Enjoy that chocolate egg over Christmas, that time out with friends and family and that well-earnt holiday.

With the right balance of rest work and play, our heath and well being can also be at its best.

To your healthiest and best always 🙏💛 😊

Adaptable Yoga

Yoga like most forms of exercise can be adapted to a range of skills and abilities. It can also be adapted for babies and children too, so no age is too young or too old.

Yoga consisting of poses, can also be adapted by using chairs and resistance bands for those with limited mobility or balance.

For babies they can start with exercises such as stretching legs up or happy baby with assistance.

For Children’s Yoga it can be made more entertaining and stimulating, with animal poses and noises to keep children engaged and at the same time improve their confidence and concentration.

With so many possible adaptions and being possible for all ages right from babyhood to older age, Yoga really is for anyone and everyone.

If you would like to give Yoga a try please send a message below to book a trial class and remember, there really are no limitations. 🙂

Maintain Faith on your Fitness Journey

On your fitness journey there will be many ups and downs, so how do you maintain faith through it all?

The following ways are the top 3 I recommend;

  1. Daily reminders– keeping daily reminders, such as regular habits, journalling and affirmations, can all help to keep your goals in mind combined with positive association.
  2. Positive Feedback – by keeping a journal you can also keep a record of your journey and all the good things on the way, there’s always much more along the journey.
  3. Variation – if you find yourself getting bored, then varying your workouts and approach can be the best way to overcome this.

For more information on how you can maintain faith on your fitness journey and for further guidance and support, please get in touch via the form below.

If you are a naturally caring person it can be automatic to overgive or over tolerate, however without taking time for you and caring for yourself how can you give your best for others?

Always giving or overgiving can lead us to point of depletion, therefore see this as a reminder today and each day to take time for you to find your inner peace and connection.

Take time to meditate each day, take time to be in nature, listen to your body and what it is you need. Be there for you too. 🙏💕🦋

5 Ways to Improve your Energy Levels

Fatigue can be a common problem, however it doesn’t have to be one that we just put up with. As with many problems, there are also many solutions.

Here are just 5 ways you can start to improve your energy levels.

  1. Exercise more; first and foremost would be to exercise more, even just 20 mins of light exercise a day can make a big difference and it comes highly recommended.
  2. Eat healthy meals at regular intervals, eating healthily we all know is important to do, yet to eat at regular intervals, so that your body knows when food is coming can make an even bigger difference. Try to stick to the same meal times each day and to not skip meals. Even if you are doing intermittent fasting you can try applying this rule of having set times.
  3. Drink plenty of water, all drinks other than alcohol and caffienated drinks can help us to stay hydrated. However if you can it drink plenty of water daily, you will find this to be much better as it rules out any sugar intake, which can send your energy levels up and down. Pure water is always best.
  4. Spend time in nature, being in nature brings us back to our natural healthy balanced state, reducing any stress or anxiety and helping us to reset. Always give this a try when you can, for a natural energy boost.
  5. Chi Gung – a great and more unique way to improve energy levels is with Chi Gung, which literally means energy work. Using gentle movements it helps our natural energy to circulate and improves circulation and joint pain as well as many more health benefits.

If you have been struggling with energy levels give some of these simple yet effective methods a try.

For more advice and information on Chi Gung classes, please send me a message below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Connection to Nature

Deepening our connection to nature, can have many health benefits. Most of all this is because we are nature ourselselves. We can just become lost and detached from this truth within our busy lifestyles, more so now with so much technological distraction.

It’s important however despite all these distractions to make a constant effort to take the time to connect with nature and maintain our true connection and true nature as part of it.

We can do this by simply making a commitment to walk in nature regularly, to spend time in the local park or in the garden. Whichever works best for you.

In doing so regularly you’ll begin to notice a deeper connection to nature; to your true self and inner calm and peace.

To find out more about how you can do this and about different nature based therapies and activities Mind, Body Soul Coach Uk offers, please send an enquiry below.

I look forward to connecting with you and assisting you in deepening your true nature connection 🙏

Yoga Outdoors

The benefits of Yoga are numerous, however with the added benefit of being outdoors the positive results multiply even further.

With Yoga literally meaning to connect, being outdoors for practice allows us to truly tune in to nature and ourselves, allowing for a deeper calm and connection.

The sights and sound of nature can also help us to relax, therefore helping us to breath deeper and find posture easier to get in to deepen also.

It can also help to build our vitamin D supply, leading to more health &happiness. In addition it can help to improve your confidence and subsequent connection to fellow Yoga practitioners.
