Movement as Expression

One of the most fundamental benefits of a movement practice, is the ability for it to be an avenue for self expression.

Although our movement practices may be similar once we have our foundational movement patterns we can begin to express ourselves individually from the most deepest level.

So often when doing so, we can then also discover new movement patterns that we may not have done or even thought to have done previously.

This way of expression in movement can bring the most beautiful sense of freedom just as in any form of art. You can combine it with music and bring all your creativity and passion forward into it. If you haven’t already done so, give it a try. It’s a great way to play and experiment also.

Trust in your flow and express yourself freely 🙏💫

Be Here

Never forget
It’s all here
Everything
Be here always
Simply watching
🙏

~ M. L Adams

Presence is so simple we often miss it. Always remember it’s importance, remember the gift of life is all in the presence. It is here that we see all and can be all we can be. Drop all else as unnecessary 🙏💕

To your presence,

Practicing Presence

So often in our busy lives we can be caught up by where we have been, or where we have to be, rather than simply being.

This has become such a way of life for many that it’s important to learn to be fully present once again, so how can we practice presence.?

Practicing presence first has to be realised as important for our health and wellbeing, more important than any past or future moment and truth is, this moment is really the only moment there ever is, and why it is most important. For if we miss it we are missing out on life.

The greatest way to train ourselves to be more immersed again in the now and practice presence fully, is through our senses.

Our senses are interacting with the world around us in the now and the more we become in touch with the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and sensations all around us the more present we can become.

Make it a daily practice to become absorbed in one or more of your senses on a daily basis as a mindful meditation and observe how it can help you to become more constantly present.

Enjoy the practice, enjoy the present 🎁 🙂

Exercise after Ilness/Injury

Exercise after a prolonged illness/injury can be a bit scary for some. Not knowing the right things to do or worring that it may make things worse can be some of the main concerns.

From personal and professional experience I have found the following to be most helpful;

  1. Have a firm faith and vision for your recovery- see how you want to be and work your way towards it step by step.
  2. Listen to your body and stay empowered-work with your body and what’s within your control and measure your outcomes from there.
  3. Support your exercise plan with adequate nutrition- just as important and sometimes more so is your diet, its essential that you get the right nutrients for your recovery. Do your research and get advice as needed.

Overall you must believe you can improve, believe you can and you will. This will empower you to take all the actions you need and maintain it.

Empower yourself within and results will come without 🙏💫

Working with Change

Change is a natural part of life, in every moment things are always changing. Yet we can often try to keep things the same.

What if instead we were to work with change, allowing it it to happen and going with it instead.

For example when we listen to our bodies, what may have felt good a year ago may not do so now. What If instead of resisting this we work with our bodies and do what feels right in the now, working with it instead.

This is not to say that our work or efforts should not be challenging in some way but that we work with our nature and natural changes, just as nature does itself.

As a tree grows it has to work with the ground it’s in and the changing weather that appears naturally.

Just like this, we too have to work with the way we are and the environment we are in. As a result we will adapt and grow naturally with it.

Work with change

Grow and adapt naturally 🙏💕

Discovery

Each new day provides new beauty and insight,

As soon as we open our eyes, when we set our mind to see all the new and beautiful things,

Then each day can be filled with discovery and be a beautiful way of living,

A way filled with openness where every moment you will feel the newness,

Life is always changing

Nothing stays the same

In this is great beauty;

Let your every day be one of discovery 🙏💗

Inner Guidance

Along our Journey in life and training we may have many guides, yet more often it’s the guide within us, that knows the best way.

The only thing stopping us is learning to listen and trust in it. This too is part of our journey and other guides in our lives can help bring us to this point.

If you look back in your life there will be moments where you have had this inner guidance, guiding you to go somewhere or not go somewhere and when looking back it is always correct.

Those times we listen we know we made the right choice and the times we didn’t we may wish that we did. Yet this is a skill never too late to learn, some people call this guidance, our intuition or God within the heart.

It is our highest self and so always seeks to guide us to what is our highest and best yet the smaller thinking mind can get in the way with old conditioning, fears or bad habits. This is the small self that becomes quiet through spiritual practice and mediation. We then learn to listen deeper and trust in the true self within.

Some helpful ways to connect more with the higher self are;

  1. Meditation– when we clear the mind chatter, intuition naturally comes.
  2. Learn to trust in it and act upon it.
  3. Filter out external distractions and old conditioning by dropping what we don’t need. Less is more.

Trusting in our inner guide is a practice and process, until it becomes natural. Once we connect more however, we can be far surer we are on the right path 🙏

To your highest self,

Miranda 💗
