So often in our busy lives we can be caught up by where we have been, or where we have to be, rather than simply being.
This has become such a way of life for many that it’s important to learn to be fully present once again, so how can we practice presence.?
Practicing presence first has to be realised as important for our health and wellbeing, more important than any past or future moment and truth is, this moment is really the only moment there ever is, and why it is most important. For if we miss it we are missing out on life.
The greatest way to train ourselves to be more immersed again in the now and practice presence fully, is through our senses.
Our senses are interacting with the world around us in the now and the more we become in touch with the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and sensations all around us the more present we can become.
Make it a daily practice to become absorbed in one or more of your senses on a daily basis as a mindful meditation and observe how it can help you to become more constantly present.
Have you ever stopped and noticed how much everything is always changing. That within each moment, are many tiny moments and so many tiny experiences.
Nothing stays the same and no one moment is the same, yet so many of us spend our lives wanting things to stay and remain the same or even moving away from what is.
Yet in each moment there is always change.
What if instead we choose to change with the change, and go with what is, wont we then feel far more happy and at peace.
A great teacher to help us do this is mother nature herself. After spending an hour or two in nature, you will soon find yourself becoming more immersed and flowing with the natural changes that happen in each moment.
This is especially great for those times of stress or worry, as nature brings us back to the here and now, allowing a return to a natural state of inner peace and clarity.
So much happens in each moment that it is purely magical, yet so often we can miss it, caught up in our daily lives, busy with many daily tasks.
Yet you deserve this time; take time out whenever you can and explore the beauty in each moment with the beauty of nature.
Allow nature to teach you to change with change, the moments are so minute that we may just miss them.
